A Day of Maintenance:

THE LOGS FROM IAPETUS

We are passing through Saturn’s famous rings, and the colonists are marvelling at the visual spectacle, pointing and telling of Iapetus in view. In our final approach, they’re in a frenzy for the certainty of images and the beauty of looking. Meanwhile, I am transfixed by the sounds of the ice. A floating hailstorm that is noise or nothing at all to standard ears, but to my instruments is, how M would say, like a symphony

Before the game, there was a colony on Iapetus - one of Saturn's moons. This short story tells a perspective of that colony. From landing, to events across it, to a hint at the aftermath.
