"They move so gently, then their obscured hidden mouth is doing something around my dickhead, whilst their hands are moving around my shaft with a squeeze, a light pull. And I fel some of it, along the rim of my head - that little curve-back into the skin - but the tip has fully desensitised. Literally gone, I don't feel at all but am scared to say it."

Overload is a short story about someone with sensory issues. It's about how discovering how far those sensory needs go affects you, how mental illness sets you up to not take that news well. It's about trying to get what you can from a persistent slump, dragging-down feeling you can't really shake because you don't know how to approach it, let alone 'fix' it.

"My smell is dull - COVID broke it - now I barely pick up the scent of a panting body's sweat, barely snhfffff in the aroma of a flower bouquet across a room. I can't smell people, I have to taste with with my tongue to pick up anything. I can't smell the aroma of pussy or ripe cock, I need to be smothered by it. I have to sit here in an unspoken limbo of forgetting what things were, not being able to revive it, not being able to get new smells easily."

Content notes: sensory overstimulation, mental illness, distance from people, dissociation, shame, disability
